NYC Performance Tours for Student Dance Groups

NYC is all about dance.  And some of the world’s most prominent performers and teachers hail from the Big Apple.  Names like Martha Graham and Alvin Ailey might ring a bell.

NYC performance tours for student dance groups are an adventure like no other and there’s no better way to go than with Peak Performance Tours.

We’ve got the goods on the best of the best, from Radio City Music Hall to the dance studios where stars are made, not born.

Broadway

The Great White Way needs no introduction.  It’s a street on which dancers’ dreams are lived.  It’s here that the great Debbie Allen became a star of the stage and where Chita Rivera first wowed audiences in West Side Story.

Stoke the fire in your dance students’ bellies with a visit to one of Broadway’s legendary spectacles.  This is where working dancers make their bread and butter entertaining people from around the world.  Is there a star waiting in the wings of your dance class?

Meet a Rockette

There’s nothing “second best” about being a Rockette.  These hard-working dancers are some of the world’s finest.  Day in and day out, they work to create some of the most incredibly exciting choreographies to ever grace a stage.  Their work is about a lot more then high kicking in a chorus line.  They train hard to be the best, as world ambassadors of Radio City Music Hall.

Join Radio City Music Hall’s Stage Door Tour and meet a Rockette in real life.  Following the tour, which describes the history and highlights of this internationally-famed venue, ask a Rockette what it’s like to make a living on such an iconic stage, in such an iconic role.

Alvin Ailey – NYC dance star

As one of the premier proponents of American dance, Alvin Ailey has created something amazing with his Ailey School and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

Take 10 or more students to tour the school.  It’s guaranteed they will be dreaming big dreams after a look at this elite facility.  Arrange for a private class, join an open class or observe as your dancing colleagues hone their craft.

Later, take in a thrilling performance at the dance venue.  Share with your students the inspiration of seeing some of the most accomplished dancers in the world perform.

Born in the Bronx – Hip-Hop

NYC is home to the Bronx, a hallowed place for lovers of hip-hip music and dance, because this is where it was born in the early 1970s.  It’s here in the South Bronx that the musical art of sampling was invented by the masters of the form, including the greatest of them all, Grandmaster Flash.

Students of hip-hop dance will find much to love in NYC, including the classes offered at The Ailey Dance School.

House of Movement is a studio entirely dedicated to the art of hip-hop dance, also offering classes in the street style genre, in Hell’s Kitchen.

TESTIMONIALS

“ This has been the absolute best experience I have ever had on a trip with a tour company. From the beginning, everything was well organized. There was a lot of cooperation, flexibility, good details and excellent staff relations in the entire process. ”
