Choosing The Right Disney Park
Disney World in Orlando, Florida and Disneyland in Anaheim, California are among the two most popular Disney sites in the world. Each of these parks have unique claims to fame that could make one site more enticing than the other. There’s magic waiting to happen in every corner. Whatever you choose, you can still create memorable experiences that will leave a lasting impression on your students.
Disney World in Orlando, Florida
One of the hallmarks of Disney World is its size. Approximately the size of San Francisco, this makes Disney World one of the biggest in the world. With a park this big, you’ll never run out of people to entertain and things to do. Unlike Disneyland, the opening of Disney World was overseen by Walt’s brother, Ray. Finally their doors opened to the public and has since remained as one of the must-see Disney parks.
Disney World is a host to four theme parks namely Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. Two water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, can also be found in the Orlando location. Various hotels dot the property, making it convenient for out-of-state visitors to access, on top of the complimentary transportation provided by the park.
Disneyland in Anaheim, California
The park that started it all. Disneyland in Anaheim California is the first and only Disney park that was overseen by Walt Disney. Since it first opened its doors to the public in 1955, Disneyland has continued to be a premier choice for nostalgics and die-hard Disney fans.
While much smaller than the Orlando counterpart, the original Disney site accommodates rides and attractions that are unique to California. This includes attractions derived from iconic movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, Indiana Jones, and Cars, to name a few.
Although older, the iconic Disneyland is regularly maintained and upgraded with new rides and attractions that maintains the quality of the park.
Setting up camp in Disneyland is perfect if:
- Your educational trip lasts only for one to three days
- You want to introduce your students to the original Disney park
- Your students have a strong sense of nostalgia for the original park
- Your students prefer a more intimate venue for their performance
- You want the more affordable option of the two
- You want a trip that lasts more than three days
- You want to perform for a bigger crowd
- Your students would like to get the most out of their ticket and see as much as possible
- You want to experience more rides and attractions during your visit
The Disney Programs Different Programs, The Same Magical Moment
Live Performance
Take part in the iconic Disney celebrations. From choirs to theater troupes to bands to dance groups, Disney Performing Arts packages offer plenty of opportunity for all kinds of talents to entertain and dazzle park goers. Live performances are characterized by their lively and dynamic presence. Routines are performed daily and are relatively easier than more rehearsed performances such as the parade. Taking part in a live performance, on-stage or around the park, either way, makes for a memorable magical experience.
Performance Workshops
Learning how to captivate a crowd is one of the hallmarks of a great performer. Disney Performing Arts allows students to learn directly from Disney’s famed prince and princesses so your students can recreate their magic with every performance. Disney performers are highly-trained and are certified world-class performers. Training under these professionals will help your students discover new techniques and acquire brand new perspectives on music performance and culture.
Festival Disney
Festival Disney is a series of weekends that occur between March and May and is open to middle and high school students. Looking for a way to start your youth programs early? Look no further. Festival Disney is a fantastic way to bring your younger students closer to an international audience. It allows even the most basic musician to refine his or her musical techniques early on. Festival Disney serves as an inspiration to beginners, encouraging them to look forward and pursue a professional musical career.
Disney Candlelight Processional
Make this Christmas the best one yet. Every year, Disney World has an unforgettable Christmas celebration. The Disney Candlelight Processional is a retelling of the Christmas story, accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra. This exclusive opportunity is a wonderful way to jumpstart your orchestra’s musical career or simply illustrate the bravado a well-trained ensemble is capable of. Disney Performing Arts performances set the standard by which all other performance opportunities are measured.
